At Glen Meadows, we believe it is possible for our church to grow smaller at the same time that it is growing larger. This is accomplished through our Life Groups.

Life Groups serve the purpose of connecting adults in authentic relationships with Christ, His Word, and other adults. In addition, Life Groups help adults mature in their relationship with Christ, no matter where they are in the discipleship process. To achieve these purposes, our Life Groups are designed with the following characteristics:

A place where meaningful relationships can be developed, and struggles in our personal journeys can be shared with genuine friends.
Bible study, life application, and authentic fellowship.
To mobilize believers to positively impact the church body and their circle of influence through outreach, service, and ministry.
Monthly Parent’s Night Out and Life Group Party Nights.

Glen Meadows offers Life Groups to virtually every age and walk of life. If you have any questions about which one might be right for you, please call the church office at 942-6601 and we’ll be happy to help you get connected.

The Mix - Couples 20’s-30’s.

In The Mix, we minister to young couples in their 20’s-30’s. The Mix is about developing genuine community with other young, married adults and learning biblical truth that will change your marriage and family life for the better. We don’t just attend class together on Sunday; we are friends who enjoy meeting with each other throughout the week. We plan a monthly party night where everyone can get together in an informal setting and strengthen existing friendships while forging new ones. (8:45 AM)

Sequoia Sisters - Ladies 30’s-50’s

The sequoia tree grows to astounding heights by leaning on the other sequoias growing around it. The Sequoia Sisters is a ladies’ class committed to growing tall and strong in the Lord by leaning on each other as we look to God and His Word for nourishment. We also enjoy socials such as miniature golf and eating out together. Married and single ladies in their 30’s-50’s will find a home in our class as we challenge and support each other to new heights. Community - Anyone 30’s-50’s

This Life Group is for anyone in their 30’s, 40’s and even 50’s who may be living life with teenagers, have children in college, or may even be young grandparents. Come be encouraged and challenged by God’s Word along with others who are in the same place in life as you are. (8:45 AM)

Fellowship - Adults 60’s-80’s

Fellowship is a class of those in their 60’s-80’s who have learned well the lessons of life and know how to love and care for one another. This large class has some of the finest Bible teachers at Glen Meadows leading in the study of God’s Word every Sunday. (10:00 AM)

Friendship - Adults 65 and up

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father, I have made known to you.” John 15:15. The Friendship class is made up of seasoned saints in their 70’s-90’s who still enjoy learning new things about God and life. We meet for fellowship and to increase our knowledge of God and His ongoing purposes with our life. We also participate in activities with the Silver Stars, a senior’s organization at Glen Meadows. Sisters - Ladies 50’s-70’s

This ladies’ class in their 50’s - 70’s study the Bible together, pray for one another and encourage one another. Our relationships transcend our Sunday morning gatherings as we frequently find ourselves getting together throughout the week just for fun. Careful attention is paid to the study and teaching of the Bible as we believe that it is God’s living Word. (10:00 AM)

Saints - Adults 70’s-80’s

The Saints are a group with lots of energy and who serve the Lord in various ministries during the week and come together on Sundays to study the Word, pray and encourage each other. Comprised of adults in their 70’s-80’s who aren’t ready to slow down, the Saints meet regularly for fellowship and fun. (10:00 AM)

Open Door - Adults 60’s-70’s

This dynamic group of believers ranges in age from their 60’s-70’s. It is an active group who enjoy digging deep into God’s Word and who care deeply for each other. They are committed to strengthening each other through in-reach and engaging those outside of GMBC through purposeful outreach. There are no strangers in Open Door, only friends! (10:00 AM)

Generations - Adults 40’s-60’s

Generations is a multi-generational class of adults in their 40’s-60’s who believe in not just studying God’s Word, but in applying it as well. We are concerned with the transformation of our own lives as we submit ourselves to God and His Word, and the lives of others as we reach out in invitation asking them to join us on this marvelous journey of faith. Joy - Ladies 60’s-80’s

“For You have made me rejoice, Lord, by what You have done; I will shout for joy because of the works of Your hands.” Psalm 92:4. In the Joy class, we are a group of ladies in our 60’s-80’s who truly believe that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We love to study the Bible and discover together the great truths that God has placed there for us. If the joy of the Lord is our strength, our care for each other is a close second! (10:00 AM)

Servants - Adults 50’s-60’s

Together we... Transform...learn and apply God’s Word (Romans 12:2) Care...rejoice and weep with one another (Romans 12:15) Encourage...spur each other on to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24) Pray...seek God’s power, perspective, and provision (Acts 4:31) Fellowship...share life’s journey as spouses, parents, empty-nesters, & caregivers to our parents (Acts 2:42-47) Become Disciples...deny ourselves and follow Christ (Matthew 16:24-25) Make Disciples...share our testimony and the Gospel with others (Matthew 28:19-20). If you are in your 50’s-60’s, we’d love you to come on this journey with us! (10:00 AM)

The Journey - Couples 20’s-40’s

This Life Group is all about the “journey” of walking with Christ. Life is an adventure filled with twists, turns, ups, down, trials and victories and we cannot make it through without a lot of help. We find that help in two ways. First and foremost, we look to God by looking at His Word and studying it together. Second, we look to one another for friendship and encouragement as we walk through the adventure of life together. We meet at 11:15 a.m. in room E-106. The Journey Life Group is geared for couples in their 20’s to 40’s, but anyone is welcome.

Genesis - New/Young Marrieds

Genesis is a Life Group designed for couples that are “in the beginning” of their relationship: Whether you’re nearly married or newly married. We will look at what the Bible says about marriage and how to stay together once you have tied the knot. We will study ways to draw closer to God as you draw closer to each other. Genesis is a great way to meet other couples that are “in the beginning” too. We offer monthly fellowships that are cheap and fun. (11:15 AM)

Women - Ladies - All Ages

This Life Group is a great place for women to find fellowship, encouragement and solid teaching of the Bible, with an emphasis placed on personal application. Women of all ages, married or single, are invited to join us and be challenged and encouraged with the Word of God. (11:15 AM)

College - Adults 20’s

If you’re in college or have recently graduated, you’ll be at home in GMBC’s college ministry. Join us every Sunday for dynamic fellowship and applicable teaching of the Bible. We meet regularly for food, fun and fellowship during the week as well as to share God’s love with other students on our college campuses. On Thursdays at 7:00 PM, we have a Bible study at the Lake House where students can also do laundry. (11:15 AM)
